I have been coming to this place consistently for years, and often to get their galbi jim, a generously portioned dish, plenty for 2 and affordable. Service was always very friendly and the place is always clean and welcoming. Too bad however that Chosun will be closing soon, and will reopen as a different Korean grill concept in 2025. Yes, it probably needed an update (I hope they improve security in the parking lot, add more lights and cameras, this is not the best area), but I worry the new experience is going to be fancier and pricier. We will see, but it is often the trend in Austin these days.

The only place in Austin that has Galbi Jim! The flavor of the dish was excellent. The meat fell right off the bones, so tender. Rice cakes were chewy and soft, mixed perfectly with the melted mozzarella cheese. I know they are changing their menu soon and I hope they don't take this off the menu! As for the corn cheese, it was a bit sour...not impressed by that at all. Great service, everyone was so kind. Food came out fairly quick. We were seated right away.

As a lonestar Korean American in Austin, I sometimes long for authentic Korean food- not fusion, not street/bar fried food. I hadn't been to Chosun in a while, but it seems like they changed owners or something bc the quality of the food and banchan was vastly improved from what I remember. They gave numerous banchans that were fresh and delicious, I ate them all up! I got the mul naengmyun, which was refreshing and delicious as well. This will be my go to Korean spot in Austin from now on!

Food was excellent. Loved the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and you get a little of sides with entrees. Every one of them was amazing. Great service too!!

This definitely has to be my all time favorite Korean bbq spot. I'm a big Korean food lover, so this says a lot! It's not an all you can eat experience so you do have to order at least two items from the bbq menu to get to experience the grill at your table thing. Quality is great, their kimchi soup is to die for. Love this place! Love the plants the have by the entrance too!

This place is so underrated! We ordered Cold Noodle Mul-Naengmyeoun and Dolsot. We got so many complimentary side dishes called banchan! It felt like our own mini appetizer buffet. I have been going around to try different Korean restaurants but this place is still the OG in my book. The service is friendly and prompt! John was our server and he was amazing. The ambiance is nice and clean. I appreciated the warm and cozy decor of this restaurant. We will continue to come back here! I only wish it was closer to my house.

We really enjoyed the food here. We opted to only get one meat selection and I of course had to get the rice noodle soup which was very spicy but delicious and addictive. I don't think you need to get a set course to really feel filled up. We got plenty of food and it was very fun. We didn't get rushed and they had a lot of accompaniments. Everything was really fresh and delicious and we even had to box stuff up to go. I would definitely come back here with the kids and try it a few other things like their egg souffle which looked really good. This is a location that I would never have known about had I not been down the road at easy tiger so I'm glad to see something in the area that is somewhat affordable and really delicious.

Chosun was pretty good. I usually get the dolsot bibimbap, and I haven't been in a while, but the restaurant changed the bowl. It's wider and flatter now, and personally, it was a bit harder to mix everything. Also, my friend ordered the yellow croaker, but it didn't come out until 10-15 minutes after most of our food arrived. By that time, my friend ate most of his rice with his stew, so I deducted a star because of service and the platter change. The servers were great though, and the restaurant was clean and spacious, which is always appreciated!

Their sides here are so delicious! They have so many sides and they are more delicious than other Korean restaurants side dishes. I loved their seaweed, potato, and radishes the most. I got their seafood soft tofu soup. There wasn't as much seafood in there as I would had like, but the flavor of it was good. I think their bi bim bop is a better deal and is still good.
